Since July 24th, Graz Stork Metals is fully owned by the
GSM group . GSM is listed on the Hong Kong and Shanghai Stock Exchanges, it is the largest Tungsten producer in the world, second largest of Cobalt and Niobium and is a leading Copper and Molybdenum producer worldwide. Graz Stork Metals previously focusing on base metals starts merchandising specialty metals such as Niobium, Cobalt and Tungsten.
Aura Minerals announces an offtake and
financing agreement with LDC's Metals unit for
its wholly owned Aranzazu mine in Mexico. The
funding was needed to restart operations and
produce copper concentrates.
Graz Stork Metals is created following the sale of LDC's Metals business to NCCL Natural Resources Investment Fund.
LDC's Metals division counts more than 250 employees operating in over 60 countries. The Metals business unit originates and transports 4.5 million tonnes of metal per year generating 12.5 billion USD in consolidated net sales. The platform ranks in the top 3 as Copper / Zinc / Lead concentrates merchant and is also a leading Copper, Aluminium, Zinc and Nickel refined trader globally.
Hudbay enters into a long-term offtake agreement with LDC's Metals business unit for approximately 20% of the life of mine copper concentrate volumes from Constancia mine.
Acquisition of a minority stake in Graz Stork
Trading (“GST”). This investment contributes to the successful listing of
GST on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and provides the Louis Dreyfus Group's Metals operations with an opportunity to grow its presence in the copper concentrate market originating from Peru.
LDC's Metals business unit starts operating phase I of a 4.7ksqm roofed bunkers warehouse in Callao, Peru's largest port on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, to source, blend, store and dispatch minerals including copper and zinc concentrates produced by their mining clients in the centre of the country.
Weatherly’s fully owned subsidiary Ongopolo Mining signs a copper concentrate offtake agreement with LDC's Metals business unit.
The Louis Dreyfus Group acquires the exclusive rights to source complex copper concentrate for process tolling at the Tsumeb copper smelter in Namibia operated by Dundee Precious Metals.
Baja Mining signs an offtake agreement with the Louis Dreyfus Group for part of the copper concentrate and cobalt production of the Boleo mine located in Baja California Sur.
The Louis Dreyfus Group purchases Mitsui's copper concentrate book and from January 2006, starts operating a Metals business unit establishing its head office in Geneva, Switzerland.
